CODEX really stresses me out

Do you know about the World Trade Organization's attempt to pass into law a world wide regulation on any substance that effects humans? Herbs, vitamins, and supplements will become outlawed or obtained by prescription only due to new definitions. This means if you take vitamin C, your lifestyle is under attack by the pharmaceutical giants. Germany is the first country to join the CODEX, and the cost for supplements overnight rose by nearly 300%.

To test any substance these days can be costly. Ten years of double blind tests nowadays costs anywhere from 300 million to 600 million dollars. Most herbs due to being natural substances cannot be patented, so there is no way a company could make their money back after such a test. Any herb that has not been tested, however will be outlawed, and not even a medical doctor can prescribe it.

Chinese medicine, acupuncture, herbalist traditions with thousands of years of history, and common supplements like Co Enzyme Q-10 will all be illegal here in the US starting July 4th, 2005 unless a minimum of one million letters are FAXed to our local representatives and Senators. That doesn't leave us much time if this is the first time you have heard about it.

A few web sites are set up to make the process faster. Please check out the CODEX information, and be sure to take 10 minutes and fill out the 6 steps. One of you just may be the millionth person that saves the world. Let's hope it's you. Click the link below, and be ready to be blown away by the gravity of this situation! If you eat food or take supplements you will be effected, and it won't be cheap on the pocketbook either.
